About the book:
The novella begins as a sweet love story between the young Atuonuo who lives with her widowed mother, and Kevi, the polite and very handsome young man who shows up at their field during the harvest and helps them. He is a complete stranger and all they know is that he lives in the next village. Kevi falls in love with Atuonuo, and proposes marriage. Atuonuo reciprocates his feelings but they have a lover’s spat and things go horribly wrong as she discovers a side to him that neither mother nor daughter could have imagined in their worst nightmares.
The book is published by Speaking Tiger Books, New Delhi, December, 2017.
