Lunsjforedrag: Fugler i nyere norsk litteratur, Endre Harvold Kvangraven

Som en del av Longyearbyen Litteraturfestival vil skribent i beboer Endre Harvold Kvangraven holde et lunsjforedrag på biblioteket.

Endre Harvold Kvangraven (f. 1982) er litteraturviter og økofilosof. Han har bodd i Afrika store deler av livet, men de seinere åra har han vært tilbake i Norge, hvor han forsker på forholda mellom mennesker og andre dyr, fra ulv til fugler. Han har mastergrad fra Senter for utvikling og miljø ved Universitetet i Oslo og er nå doktorgradsstipendiat ved Universitetet i Stavanger. I 2021 ga han ut boka Ulv i det norske kulturlandskapet.

As part of the Longyearbyen Literature festival, writer in resident Endre Harvold Kvangraven will present a lunchtime lecture at the library, discussing birds in recent Norwegian literature.

Endre Harvold Kvangraven is a writer, researcher, and wildlife enthusiast. He has lived in various African countries but is now back in his native Norway, where his research centers on the relations between humans and birds in contemporary Scandinavian literature, exploring themes such as ornithological practice, identification, and care. He is currently a PhD candidate at the University of Stavanger, associated with the Greenhouse Centre for Environmental Humanities.

Endre is the author of Ulv i det norske kulturlandskapet (Res Publica, 2021), a work of literary non-fiction tracing the role of wolves in Norwegian cultural history. During his time in Longyearbyen, he will be working on a book about birds.
