We are very pleased to welcome back former resident Benedicte Meyer Kroneberg for the launch of her new book, The Svalbard Notes. This launch evening will be hosted by Longyearbyen based writer, Line Nagell Ylvisåker.
About The Svalbard Notes:
The artist Birgitte is invited to Longyearbyen to create an exhibition, but she is in doubt whether she will accept the invitation. When she was thirteen, she and her parents spent a year in Longyearbyen, a year that would change everything. By and large, Birgitte has nevertheless landed in life, and she knows that the journey will whirl up the memories from that year again.
Benedicte Meyer Kroneberg (b. 1972) made her debut with the novel Nobody Should Hear How Quiet It Is (2010), and was named Aftenposten's best debutant of the year. Since then, she has published several critically acclaimed novels, most recently Not Gone (2019).
The talk will be in Norwegian.
